How to Search for a Regulation
1. Navigate to the Search page

2. Select either 'Commercial' or 'Residential'

Choose between either searching by Address or Searching by County, City, State

Search by County, City, State
First select a state in the dropdown menu, then you can either search only by state, or by county or city by selecting them in the dropdown menu. After selecting the region you wish to search for, click on the 'Search' button.

Search Result
Tabular Result: The results page will show a tabular results for the incentives, codes, and permits of the City, County State.

To narrow down the results even further you can select a source and destination in the dropdown menues.

Graphical Result: To view the graphical result: click on the top right button View Diagram.

This graphic shows the pathways from water source(such as Precipitation) to water destination(such as Toilet). Each node represents a Destination while its parents or nodes above it represents their source. To move the graphic around simply click and drag.

For information on the county, and city regulation for that destination, simply click on the card/node for links for the Incentives, Permit, Code, Submission View and More Information of the City, County and State. Click on City, County or State to show the Links

To expand the pathways from Source to Destination. Simply click on the plus sign to expand and click it again to collapse the pathways

The graphic displays the state level pathway status of the destinations. The legends correspond to the Pathway status of the destinations.
Pathway Allowed
The pathway is valid and has no problems for water reuse.Pathway Possible
Uncertain if the pathway is allowed for water reuse.Pathway Blocked
The destination for that card/node has no current regulations for it state level or water reuse is blocked.No Information
No information exists for the current pathway.
For easy to use search, you can use the search box at the top left of the graphic to type in a destination. It will then display a list of sources or pathways to that destination. You may also use the button at the top of the graphic automatically type in the search. Then select the source, destination you would like displayed.

You can also download and export the graphic as a pdf, csv, png or svg. By clicking the bars on the top right corner of the graphic

Lastly the graphic has three other useful commands. Zoom In , Zoom Out and Fit the Graphic so the screen.

Disclaimer
If the state, county or city does not have any water reuse information, or if the state, county or city is not present in the search dropdown menus or the graphic card/node is red or the buttons are all disabled for the City, County, State, this does not mean there are no regulations. It just means they have not been added to this site. Please search your local government web pages to find the water reuse information you need. After finding that information, it would be helpful to us if you register to become a contributor, and add this regulation to our site.

1. Navigate to the Registration page
2. Enter in your name, a valid email address and a password.

3. At this point, you can either click the 'Register' button, or you can add more information about yourself before you register. This information is very helpful to us, but it is not necessary.

3. After submitting your registration, you can add new water reuse regulations! Come back to the information page, as there will be new instructions on how to add a new regulation made available to you.
